Retail theft at Family Dollar in Lakeland

Polk County Sheriff's detectives are trying to identify the suspect seen here who committed a retail theft at the Family Dollar store located at 1090 Pipkin Road West in Lakeland.
Around 5:20 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023, the suspect seen here went into the store and placed several items into a handheld basket. The suspect then knelt down in one of the aisles, and put items into his backpack. He went to the register and paid for the items in his basket, then left the store on a green and white bicycle.
The suspect is described as a black male wearing a green shirt, tan pants, and black shoes, carrying a black Nike backpack (with the "swoosh" logo). The suspect has dreadlocks, and a beard or goatee.
If anyone has information on this crime or recognizes this suspect, they are urged to contact Detective Wright at 863-577-1626 and reference case number 23-7393, or contact Heartland Crime Stoppers.
