The Polk County Sheriff's Office is asking for assistance in locating a stolen Troy Bilt lawnmower and the suspected thief. 

On December 20th between around 8:00 p.m. and just after midnight, a riding lawnmower, similar to the one in this photo, was stolen from the shoulder of Hwy 37 in Mulberry, approximately one quarter mile south of Hwy 640. The victim’s truck had run out of fuel, so he parked his truck on the shoulder of the road. When he returned with fuel, his truck and trailer were still there, but the lawnmower was not. 

The model number of the stolen Troy Bilt lawnmower is 17BAFACT, and the serial number is S1F260H10258.
