Car burglary suspect on Highland St West in Lakeland

Polk County Sheriff's detectives are trying to identify the suspect seen here who committed a car burglary on Highland Street West in Lakeland.
Around 10:50 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2023, the suspect seen here went into the victim's Ford Focus that was parked at her house. The victim confronted the suspect, who appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. When the victim told him she was calling law enforcement, he left.
The suspect is described as a tall black male wearing a blue shirt with white writing, dark denim shorts, a black zipped jacket, and white shoes.
If anyone has information on this crime or recognizes this suspect, they are urged to contact Detective Wright at 863-577-1626 and reference case number 23-7615, or contact Heartland Crime Stoppers.
