04-30-2018 INFORMATION SOUGHT IN THEFT OF COPPER WIRE

Polk County Sheriff’s detectives are seeking the public’s help with the theft of copper wire from the Duke Energy Transmission Station located at 4575 Knights Station Road in Lakeland.

At 1:06 a.m. on April 30, 2018, the suspect seen here stole multiple rolls of copper wire valued at approximately $3,000.

The suspect appears to be a black male, possibly with a goatee, wearing a skullcap, a dark colored polo-style shirt, black pants, and dark shoes.

If anyone has information about this incident or recognizes this suspect, they are urged to contact Detective Ogg at 863-577-1600.
