***UPDATE: The person in this video has been identified. Thanks everyone for your tips!***
PCSO detectives are investigating a theft of a backpack containing several personal electronic devices. Detectives would like to find
the woman in this video.
On November 30th at around 1:30 p.m., the owner of the backpack was in the parking lot of the Dollar General (3750 Duff Road) in Lakeland when he placed his backpack on the ground momentarily to search for his wallet. Once he found his wallet, he closed the car door and accidently left the backpack in the parking lot.
Quickly realizing his mistake, he immediately returned to the store 15 minutes later. The backpack was no longer where he left it nor had it been turned into the store as a lost item.
Store security footage shows the woman in this video removing the backpack from the parking lot. She is possibly in her forties and was wearing a black “Bike Week” t-shirt.
If you believe you recognize this woman or you have other information that may be helpful toward this investigation, please contact Detective Wagstaff at 863-577-1626 or JWagstaff@polksheriff.org (reference case #22-49944).
